I am a native of Cumberland County.  I grew up right outside of Hope Mills and graduated from South View.  I love Hope Mills and have lived within the town limits with my husband and 3 daughters for over 22 years.

I am currently enrolled in FTCC's Culinary Arts Program working towards my Associates degree.

When I was growing up, I remember summers at my Grandma's house, watching her cook those delicious meals and bake the best biscuits ever without a recipe...just throw it in the bowl, knead it with your hands until it's just the right consistency, place them carefully on that dark well-seasoned round pan, and bake them in the oven.  Next stop, delicious home-made from scratch biscuits that were so good that you couldn't eat just one.  This is the feeling that drew me to Kiss Me Cakes.  I had driven by this little bakery for years without ever stepping foot in the store.  For some reason, I felt compelled to ask a friend of mine, who was working there at the time, about possibly working at the bakery myself.  In April of 2014, I interviewed with Sheila, the former owner, about a job opportunity.  We talked like old friends and it felt right.  She "was interested if I was interested."  I was definitely interested.  It feels like baking at home, but with a much larger kitchen.  :)

I am so happy that she called me that day because now I am the proud new owner.

For those of you who are long-time loyal customers, know that I appreciate your business and rest assured that nothing has changed except the management and that those same tasty treats are available and some new and exciting things are coming in the near future.

Stay tuned and come in and see me!
